Unmatched: Digital Edition has a layered development history. The original version, developed by Acram Digital, launched on February 28, 2023 and received a full set of DLC heroes and battlefields through August 2023, completing the original Season Pass 1 roadmap. Dire Wolf then took over development and rebuilt the game from the ground up. On July 29, 2026, Dire Wolf's rebuilt version launched on Steam as a beta, with a full cross-platform release targeting September 2026 for Android and iOS, and Nintendo Switch to follow. The relaunch announcement (July 21, 2026) and the launch post (July 29, 2026) both confirm that this is an active, ongoing product. Dire Wolf explicitly stated that new heroes and battlefields are coming, along with additional features including Pass and Play, Ranked Mode, and Free for All. Previously purchased skins will be re-integrated at no extra charge, and additional language localizations are planned to arrive before the mobile release. The store description similarly notes "more to come in the future" and describes the current Steam version as a beta ahead of the full 1.0 release in the coming months.
