Evaluation
Unspottable launched on October 22, 2020 as a couch party game and has received ongoing updates since then, including major additions like 2-to-8 player support (July 2022) and a full online multiplayer mode (June 2023). The developer, GrosChevaux, is a small studio that has been splitting attention between Unspottable and their second game, Cardburners, which launched on May 28, 2026.
Crucially, in their May 28, 2026 post — the most recent developer communication — GrosChevaux explicitly stated: "When things settle down a bit with the release, we will be going back to Unspottable for updates and new maps!" This directly confirms that new maps are planned for Unspottable. This statement is consistent with what the developer communicated on March 3, 2026 ("We are still planning to add some new maps to Unspottable when our second game is released!") and August 29, 2025 ("we really hope we can work on new maps very soon!").
The developer has been transparent throughout: updates slowed while they focused on finishing Cardburners, but they have not abandoned Unspottable. With Cardburners now released, the developer has indicated they will shift attention back to Unspottable and deliver the promised new maps.
Evidence
