Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception

Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception launched on Steam on January 23, 2020. All four DLC items — two costume packs for Tamaki and two for Sasara — were released on the same day as the game itself, meaning the game shipped as a complete package with no post-launch content additions. The store description and short description present the game as a finished visual novel/tactics-RPG with no mention of planned updates, seasons, or ongoing content. The developer news posted to this game's Steam page consists entirely of announcements and launch posts for other titles in the Utawarerumono and AQUAPLUS catalogue — including Utawarerumono: ZAN (December 2025), ZAN 2 (February 2026), AQUAPAZZA (September 2025), and most recently Utawarerumono: Past and Present Rediscovered (May 2026). None of these posts indicate any new content or updates for Mask of Deception itself; the publisher simply uses the game's news feed as a cross-promotional channel for related releases. There are no patches, feature updates, or developer statements about future content for this title since launch. Mask of Deception is a complete, self-contained experience that shipped fully formed on January 23, 2020, and has received no post-launch content updates.
