Vehicle Simulator

Vehicle Simulator is a long-running open-world flight and sailing simulator originally created in 2009, with its Steam version releasing on December 9, 2015. All six DLC packs — covering essential planes, gliders, helicopters, boats, scenery, and a South West Europe scenery collection — were released within the first two days of the Steam launch and none remain unreleased. Following the initial release, the developer (Ilan Papini, a solo developer) maintained a steady stream of feature patches over the years: version 2.6.3 in March 2016, version 2.6.4 Ex in March 2017, versions 2.7.2–2.7.4 through May 2018, version 2.7.5 in May 2019, and version 2.7.6 updates in April and June 2021. The most recent developer communication on record is the June 25, 2021 post about version 2.7.6's "run when minimized" feature. Since June 25, 2021, there have been no further news posts, patch notes, or developer communications. This is nearly five years of silence as of June 2026. The developer never announced a formal "final update" statement, but the absence of any communication for this extended period, combined with no unreleased DLC and no announced future content, indicates the game has reached the end of its update cycle. The game continues to be purchasable on Steam and retains its positive review standing.
