Evaluation

VERGE: Lost Chapter released on October 1, 2015 as a small indie horror game. For several years it received no notable updates, but in April 2023 the developer completed a migration to a new engine and posted that "the game will be updated, new locations will be added," alongside planned texture upgrades and other improvements. This was followed by a feature update in July 2023 adding Russian localization and various visual improvements, and a small bug fix in April 2024 addressing a GPU overload issue. The developer has not posted any communication since April 22, 2024, and there has been no follow-through on the promised new locations. Given that the last update was in April 2024 and the promised content additions have not materialized or been addressed further, it is unclear whether that development work is still actively progressing.
Evidence

About this game

Our hero decided to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and get out into nature to relax in a cabin that was in the mountains.
Amazing sunsets, fresh air, the tranquility of the mountains, but then a sandstorm started. His car broke down, the dust robbed him of any hope of getting his car repaired...
He didn't encounter a single soul while he waited for the dust storm to end. Was there an abandoned building nearby, or did it only appear abandoned?
