Vikings – Wolves of Midgard launched on March 24, 2017 and received a substantial post-launch update cycle throughout 2017. The biggest post-launch addition was Version 2.0 on June 21, 2017, which introduced local couch co-op, a reworked New Game+ system, new gameplay features, and significant rebalancing. This was followed by several further patches (versions 2.01, 2.02) addressing bugs and adding minor improvements. The final recorded developer communication was the Version 2.1 patch on December 17, 2018, which added a display scaling option and fixed several co-op bugs.
The only DLC on the store is the official soundtrack, released on June 25, 2020 — a music pack, not a content expansion. No gameplay DLC, expansions, or additional story content was ever released or announced. The developer has not posted any updates since December 17, 2018, now over seven years ago, and there are no outstanding commitments, roadmaps, or announced future content.
This game launched as a complete experience and received post-launch polish updates before going silent. The content is finished, and the game is complete as it stands.
