ViRo Playspace

ViRo Playspace has been in Early Access since September 2019 and remains there — the developer has never announced a 1.0 release or any intention to conclude Early Access. Development is clearly ongoing and accelerating. On July 20, 2026 — just two days before today's assessment — the developer posted a detailed update introducing a new Quickie experience featuring motion-captured content by Ela Darling, along with a long list of VR, controller, and gameplay improvements. That same post describes extensive multiplayer systems currently in development: private and public spaces, character customization, a permission system, Steam Workshop support for custom characters and accessories, networked animations, and chat. The developer explicitly notes that "there's still a lot to do before multiplayer is ready," confirming this is a major feature pipeline still being built. Looking back across 2025 and into 2026, the update pattern is consistent and substantial: a new "Quickie" format and Patreon integration launched on September 2, 2025; a private Spaces UI was previewed on September 29, 2025; the Novellus Dea: Unsealed Love DLC received its full expanded release on December 25, 2025; and a new Goddess Reverie DLC shipped on April 21, 2025. A May 2025 post also announced upcoming Live VR Streams, an expanded LewdTube Directory, "Dream Experiences," and the Quickies format — all of which have since begun shipping or are still in progress. All 14 DLC entries are marked as released, but this simply reflects that the most recent batch has shipped — the developer is actively building and announcing new content formats and a major multiplayer feature set. There is no indication whatsoever that development is winding down.
