On June 2, 2017, the developer Ramjet Anvil published a farewell post titled "Goodbye, Volo," explicitly stating that development of Volo Airsport had been placed on "permanent hiatus" due to the studio running out of money. The team of three acknowledged they could no longer sustain development on the revenue the game generated. This statement is echoed directly in the store's header text and short description, both of which prominently declare that development of the game is discontinued. The game remains available for purchase on Steam and retains its Early Access status — it was never officially graduated to a 1.0 release. The last meaningful content shipped was version 3.7 on April 15, 2017, which added customizable parachutes. The June 2, 2017 farewell post was the final official communication from the developer, and no further updates have been made since. This is an abandoned Early Access title. The developer was transparent about the reason (funding exhaustion) and the permanence of the decision. Buyers should be aware the game will not receive further development and was never completed as originally envisioned.
