VR GirlFriend launched on December 13, 2016 and received a flurry of patches in the weeks following release, fixing bugs and adding small features. The last recorded developer activity was the V2.0.0.1 update on November 3, 2017, which added an achievement system and interface optimizations. Since that date — now more than eight years ago — the developer has posted no news, patches, or announcements of any kind. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmaps, no announced future content, and no developer statements about ongoing development. The game appears to have launched as a focused, self-contained experience and received maintenance support through late 2017 before development activity ceased entirely.
