Evaluation

Wacky West launched on August 26, 2025 as a free-to-play roguelite. Following launch, the developer shipped a consistent stream of updates: a bug-fix patch on August 27, 2025, a feature patch on August 29, 2025, a substantial content update adding Endless Mode and redesigned boss encounters on September 13, 2025, an Endless Mode rebalance on September 29, 2025, and a community-driven quality-of-life update on December 1, 2025. That December 1, 2025 post is the last recorded developer communication. As of today, September 24, 2026, nearly ten months have passed since that final update with no new posts, patches, or announcements from the developer. The update pattern in the months following launch showed roughly one to four weeks between patches, meaning ten months of complete silence far exceeds any reasonable continuation of that cadence. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap commitments, and no developer statements promising future content. The game appears to have reached a finished state, with its final content shipped in December 2025.

About this game

Wacky West is a crazy roguelite set in the Wild West! You are the sole survivor in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world. Fight hordes of mutants and zombies, collect materials, and upgrade your equipment to face the toughest bosses. In the sun-scorched Arizona desert, every day is a fight for survival! Craft increasingly powerful weapons, upgrade your gear, and save your cat - your only friend in this unforgiving world!

Save the kitten

Imagine a world where you have no support except your furry friend. Well... At least your kitten will keep you company. Except that heartless mutants have abducted your pet, and you are its last hope!

Don't give up!

Run forward and become stronger with every run. Upgrade your equipment, create new weapons, and never give up! Each run brings new upgrades and materials that will bring you closer to defeating the most dangerous bosses. As is often the case in roguelite games, the further you run, the stronger your survivor becomes.

Very Wild West

Wacky West is the wildest west on Steam. You'll need a keen eye and quick fingers to take on the toughest bosses. The atmospheric music and desert landscape of the map will provide you with the highest level of immersion. Zombies and mutants won't let you go, but they don't know that justice has looong guns!

Key features:

  • Create weapons: A unique arsenal of weapons, from auto-aiming machine guns to rocket launchers and flamethrowers.

  • Gather resources: Use everything you find along the way - scrap metal, trash, and other materials - to craft tools and weapons.

  • Fight bosses: None of them will go down without a fight. They'll throw grenades, unleash hordes of mutants, and do everything they can to stop you.

  • Traps and power-ups: Avoid dangerous barbed wire, acid puddles, and other traps. Collect useful items—both consumable and functional—that will help you throughout the game.

  • Test different modes: After defeating the final boss, you can continue playing in infinite mode, with greater challenges and double rewards.

  • Grow in strength: Upgrade your equipment, create new weapons, and unlock maps. Each game opens up new possibilities for you.
