Wanba Warriors

Wanba Warriors launched on March 25, 2020 and received five character pack DLCs over roughly two years. The release cadence was: Character Pack 1 (March 26, 2020), Character Pack 2 (April 24, 2020), Character Pack 3 (February 4, 2021), Character Pack 4 (July 22, 2021), and Character Pack 5 (May 26, 2022). All five DLCs are fully released with no unreleased entries in the store listing. On September 27, 2023, the developer (Jin Yu / BigYu) posted a personal update explaining that he had been focused on a separate game ("Bing in Wonderland") and had not updated Wanba Warriors in over a year. He expressed fondness for the game and mentioned he'd "come back and polish Wanba Warriors a bit more" once he got through a busy period — a vague, aspirational comment rather than a concrete announcement of new content. The only subsequent activity was a Japanese localization patch on December 21, 2023, which was a minor maintenance update. Since the developer's September 2023 statement, there has been no announcement of new characters, DLC, or other content. The last official communication of any kind was December 21, 2023, and today's date is June 26, 2026 — meaning more than two and a half years have passed with no updates. The historical gap between Character Pack 4 and Character Pack 5 was about ten months, and the gap between Pack 5 (May 2022) and the developer's September 2023 post was already acknowledged by the developer himself as "over a year" of no updates. No new DLC has materialized in the roughly four years since Character Pack 5 shipped. The developer's September 2023 remark about polishing the game was casual and unspecific, and given the extended silence since then — with no follow-up announcement, roadmap, or DLC listing — it does not constitute a credible outstanding commitment. The game is best understood as a complete, finished product as of its final DLC release on May 26, 2022.
