Evaluation
War Planet Online: Global Conquest is a free-to-play MMO strategy game by Gameloft that has been in continuous live operation since its December 2017 launch. The game is built around an ongoing content delivery model that includes numbered major updates (the most recent being Update 53 in February 2024), recurring seasonal chain events, rotating PvE seasons (such as "Warmonger Renegades" and "Crimson Hunt"), Faction Wars seasons, holiday events (Winter Rumble, Lunar Dash, Halloween Mayhem, etc.), and a steady stream of new commanders, lieutenants, gear sets, and cosmetic items. The store description emphasizes 24/7 real-player competition, and the game's entire structure — seasonal progression, rotating content, event economies with exclusive limited-time rewards — is designed to operate indefinitely. Gameloft has shipped 7 major content updates among the 47 news posts scanned, with major updates arriving in July 2023, August 2023, October 2023, November 2023, December 2023, and February 2024. The developer has not made any statement suggesting the game's content development will conclude.
Evidence
