Dawn of War III launched on April 27, 2017 and received a series of post-launch patches and content updates through late 2017. The notable content additions include the Annihilation Update (June 20, 2017), which added new multiplayer modes, maps, and skins, and the "Endless War" update (October 19, 2017), which added three new Elite units, three new maps, and additional skins. After October 2017, all official developer communications on the game's Steam page ceased entirely. There were no further content updates, no new DLC, and no post-launch developer communications for nearly eight years.
The most significant recent development is that Relic Entertainment announced on July 11, 2025 that a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War – Definitive Edition (a remaster of the original Dawn of War 1, not Dawn of War III) is releasing on August 14, 2025. Critically, that same announcement explicitly stated: "Will you be adding any new content or post-launch DLC? No. Our focus is on delivering the ultimate Dawn of War experience when we launch the Definitive Edition." This confirms no new content is coming for the original Dawn of War, but this announcement is about a different game (Dawn of War 1 Definitive Edition), not Dawn of War III.
For Dawn of War III itself, the last content update shipped on October 19, 2017, and there have been no developer communications about Dawn of War III content since then. The game shipped as a complete package with its post-launch content cycle ending in October 2017. No unreleased DLC exists, no future content has been announced, and the developer has not indicated any plans to revisit Dawn of War III.
