Warriors of the Nile

Warriors of the Nile launched on August 7, 2020 as a complete roguelite strategy game. In its first months post-launch, the two-person team at Stove Studio actively updated the game with new hero morphs, gear systems, and quality-of-life improvements. The biggest post-launch update, "Trials of Gods" (v1.0304), arrived on October 28, 2020, adding a final chapter, new boss, six hero morphs, and new challenge modes — described by the developer as "the biggest update since Warriors of the Nile launched." After that October 2020 update, developer communications on this game's page shifted focus away from further content for Warriors of the Nile. By August 2021, Stove Studio announced they had been working on a full sequel, Warriors of the Nile 2, and directed players to that game's store page. A June 2022 post confirmed a demo for Warriors of the Nile 2 had launched and that the sequel was targeting a Q3 2022 release. All subsequent developer energy has clearly been directed toward the sequel rather than the original game. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced future content for this game, and no developer posts suggesting further updates are planned. The game launched with a defined content scope, received a substantial final expansion in October 2020, and the studio has since moved on to its sequel. The game is complete as of the Trials of Gods update.
