Wasteland Bites launched on April 3, 2026 and has maintained a very active development pace since release. The developer shipped multiple major content updates in the months following launch: new locations in update 1.0.6 (April 11, 2026), Custom Night in update 1.0.8 (May 4, 2026), and three new Backrooms locations in update 1.0.9 (June 26, 2026). These were accompanied by a steady stream of feature patches and bug fixes throughout the same period. Critically, in the August 3, 2026 patch notes (update 1.1.0), the developer explicitly stated: "There will still be some content updates till the end of the year." This is a direct commitment to further updates through at least the end of 2026. The most recent patch (version 1.1.1) arrived on September 5, 2026, confirming the developer remains actively engaged. The April 3, 2026 launch post also listed several planned additions that the team has been delivering on — including Custom Night, more locations, more monsters, and additional translations — and at least some of those commitments remain in the pipeline based on the developer's August statement. Anyone waiting for the game to be fully complete should be aware that the developer has explicitly committed to continued content additions through the rest of 2026, and has been consistently delivering on that pattern.
