Watamari Part1 - A Match Made in Heaven released on Steam on September 23, 2022. The store description explicitly labels this as "Volume 1 in the Watamari series," signaling from the outset that additional entries were intended. On November 3, 2025, publisher Sekai Project announced that Watamari Part2 - A Fake Marriage?, a direct sequel continuing the story with the same main characters, is coming to Steam in 2026. A promotional video was revealed on November 19, 2025, confirming the sequel was in active preparation. As of today (October 1, 2026), Part 2 has not yet launched on Steam — the 2026 release window is still technically open, though no further updates have appeared since November 2025. Part 2 is a separate game listing rather than DLC for Part 1, but it is a direct narrative continuation, and players waiting for the full Watamari story should be aware it is still forthcoming.
