Evaluation

We Are OFK launched on August 18, 2022 as a five-episode interactive series, with episodes releasing weekly. The fifth and final episode shipped on September 9, 2022, explicitly described as the "season finale" and "final episode." All five interactive music videos and their accompanying songs were delivered as promised at launch. The two DLC items on the store — the Pop E.P. and the Original Score — both released in August/September 2022 alongside the game's episodes, and both are marked as released. The store's short description confirms "All episodes out now!", reinforcing that the game's planned content has been fully delivered. The most recent developer post, from February 5, 2026, announced a new OFK song called "The Prestige" — but the developer is explicit that this is a real-world music release, not a game update: "This isn't an update to our game but it's the extension of what we've always dreamed of doing ~ giving our band life beyond the game." The post also mentions "a 90% chance we have a little music video coming soon," which refers to a music video for the song rather than new in-game content. The game was simultaneously on a Steam Daily Deal at a discounted price, suggesting the developer was using the song release as a promotional moment rather than signaling new game content. The game launched as a complete, finite narrative experience and all planned content was delivered by September 9, 2022. No new in-game content has been announced or implied since then.

About this game

From the co-designer of Hyper Light Drifter,
We Are OFK is a behind-the-music comedy set in the creative heart of Los Angeles.

Start a band in this dreamy, musical journey from indiepop band OFK. Cry, skate, date, and run for your life in 5 interactive music videos, across a heartfelt story of what you risk to chase your dreams.

You play as Itsumi Saito, hustling pianist who just moved Downtown and broke up with her long-term girlfriend to lean into her dream of making it in music. But juggling practice, friends, a brutal commute to the west side, and a full-time job... Itsu is struggling to establish herself in the cutthroat music scene of LA. When she talks her way into a shmoozy Hollywood party and makes friends with a rising music producer, she sees a chance to bring her dreams a little closer.

We Are OFK is an interactive tv show of arguing over lyrics, sending sad texts, and playing Interactive Music Videos, including OFK’s debut single “Follow/Unfollow” and more!

Blending narrative, rhythm gameplay, comedy and drama, OFK explores what you risk to chase your dreams, and how it changes you.
