Webbed launched on September 9, 2021 as a self-contained story-driven adventure. Following launch, the developer shipped a handful of bug-fix patches through November 2021, and a soundtrack DLC in November 2021 — the only paid add-on ever listed for the game. There have been no major free content updates or expansions to Webbed itself.
The developer's subsequent activity has been focused on a separate project: in November 2023 they announced *Isopod: A Webbed Spin-off*, a standalone game set in the same universe, and in February 2025 they released a Next Fest demo for it. These posts make clear that Sbug Games has moved on to a new title rather than continuing to develop Webbed. No additional content for Webbed has been announced or released since launch, and the store description describes a complete, self-contained experience with no mention of ongoing updates.
