Welcome Back To 2007 launched on May 9, 2018 as an old-school platformer. It received its DLC (a Classic edition and a Soundtrack pack) within the first few months of release, both in 2018. The game also got a substantial REDUX overhaul update in June 2018 that redesigned core systems. For the game's fifth anniversary in May 2023, the developer released a free full Remake built on a new engine, featuring updated graphics, controller support, leaderboards, and a new sound engine — a significant milestone. This was followed by two more feature updates: a major patch in September 2023 improving gamepad support and enemy spawn mechanics, and another in October 2023 adding Photo Mode and additional quality-of-life options. Since October 30, 2023, there have been no further developer communications or updates. Both DLC items on the store are released, no unreleased content is listed, and the developer has not announced any additional content beyond what has already shipped. The store description explicitly highlights the free Remake as the headline feature, presenting it as the culmination of the game's development.
