Evaluation

Welcome To The Dark Place released on October 24, 2025 after a lengthy development process stretching back to 2017. The day after launch, on October 25, 2025, the developer Zeekerss posted a heartfelt message explicitly calling the game done: "I'm thrilled to call Welcome To The Dark Place done, at long last." The post frames the release as a deliberate conclusion — the developer described the game as a long-running project they finally pushed "through the finish line," and expressed a desire to move on. The only post-launch work mentioned was bug fixes and minor quality-of-life improvements planned for the week following release, not new content. No DLC, expansions, or future updates have been announced. This is a complete, finished game with no further content planned.
