WhaleGameOnline launched into Early Access on November 9, 2023 and remains in that state. The developer, NekokujiraLab, has been consistently active, posting 50 updates over roughly two years — a sustained mix of bug fixes and feature additions. Notable additions include a Valentine Mode and in-game Shop (February 13, 2024), a VS CPU mode (March 21, 2024), a Spectator mode for private matches (March 26, 2024), ranking rewards (August 2024), a "God Whale" creature and vertical stream mode (September 28, 2025), and a Unity engine update with gameplay refinements (October 4, 2025). The most recent developer communication was a UI text fix on November 30, 2025. The developer has not made any statement about a 1.0 release date or the conclusion of Early Access. As of today (September 24, 2026), the last developer communication was on November 30, 2025 — approximately 10 months ago.
