WHAT THE PAK?! entered Steam Early Access on December 6, 2024, and has been receiving consistent, substantial content updates ever since. The developer, Wendigo Games, has shipped three major updates post-launch: v0.3.4 on June 25, 2025 (two new maps, a new mini-game, and quality-of-life improvements), v0.4.0 on August 19, 2025 (five new mini-games, a wardrobe lobby, daily gifts, and ten new costumes), and a Halloween Update on October 24, 2025 (two new mini-games, four new costumes, and a Halloween map). This establishes a clear and sustained cadence of major content drops roughly every 2-3 months. In a June 12, 2025 developer post, the team explicitly stated: "we're just getting started," signaling strong intent to continue development well beyond its current state. The game remains in Early Access — the developer has self-described it as an "early alpha build" — meaning it is still actively being built toward a future 1.0 release. The most recent major update was on October 24, 2025, and based on the established cadence, the next major content drop could be expected in roughly late 2025 to early 2026. No 1.0 release date or completion timeline has been announced.
