Wind Peaks launched on July 28, 2020 as a relaxing hidden-object puzzle game. Actoon Studio has continued to invest in the game well beyond its original release. Major content additions include a mini-games and content expansion (January 27, 2021), a 3rd Anniversary overhaul with level revisions, a new soundtrack, and performance improvements (August 1, 2023), a Wildlife Update adding over 100 new interactions (September 6, 2023), a brand-new Halloween-themed level (October 29, 2024), and the Talking Scouts Update on December 23, 2024, which retrofitted full text dialogue and character conversations across the entire campaign. This establishes five major content updates spread across four-plus years, with the two most recent arriving in late 2024. The intervals between major updates vary considerably — roughly 2.5 years between the 2021 and 2023 updates, then two updates within months of each other in late 2024. The last developer communication was December 23, 2024. As of today (October 8, 2026), that is approximately 9.5 months since the last post, which falls within the broader historical pattern given that the game previously went over two years between major updates. No statement announcing the conclusion of development has been made, and there is no announced future content at this time. The cadence is irregular but the developer has a clear history of returning to this game with meaningful additions, including seasonal content.
