Witch Explorer

Witch Explorer launched on December 20, 2021. Following release, Pico Games shipped several updates: quality-of-life and balance patches in December 2021 and January 2022, and then a substantial free content update on May 20, 2022 that added a new "Ruins" stage, a new boss (the Vampiress), a points shop, home screen customization, and new items. That May 2022 update represents the last major content addition the developer shipped. The only DLC ever listed is the Digital Art Book, which released alongside the base game on December 20, 2021. No unreleased DLC is listed on the store. The most recent developer communication is a February 8, 2024 post announcing a brand-new game ("Yuri Sword Saga") — signaling that Pico Games has moved on to a new project rather than continuing to develop Witch Explorer. There have been no news posts about Witch Explorer itself since the May 2022 content update, and no announcements of additional content, a roadmap, or future plans for the game. With just one major content update post-launch, no sustained multi-release cadence to suggest more is coming, all DLC shipped, no unreleased content listed, and the developer visibly focused on a new title as of February 2024, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product. The May 20, 2022 content update is the most reasonable completion point for players waiting for all content.
