Witch It launched in full on October 22, 2020 and has maintained a consistent cadence of major updates ever since. The news history shows five major content releases: Creative 2.0 (March 14, 2024), Dreamland (September 30, 2024), Dreamland: Slumbering Spells (July 15, 2025), Winterdream 2025 (December 16, 2025), and the Reforged Realms update (July 1, 2026) — which added 6 community-crafted maps, 15 new structures, 18 new materials, and more. This establishes a clear pattern of major updates every roughly 6-12 months, with smaller seasonal and feature patches filling the gaps throughout the year.
On December 5, 2025, Barrel Roll Games published a community update explicitly confirming that Witch It updates remain a priority, describing plans for quality-of-life improvements, seasonal events, and ongoing support going into 2026. The most recent major update shipped on July 1, 2026 — just six weeks ago as of today — confirming the game is squarely within its active update window.

Explore and hide within humble villages, exotic islands, and peculiar forests brimming with secrets and surprises for you to discover. Each map contains a variety of prop arrangements, keeping matches unique and exciting every time you play!
Hunters are tasked with seeking pesky witches hidden throughout the map. Mix and match an array of different tools and abilities to help detect, trap or slow down witches as well as traverse the map effortlessly!
Witches can mimic any physical object in the landscape to fool the hunters and survive. Found by a hunter? Don’t worry - use a spell to fly, disorientate, or distract them away from your hiding spot while you escape!
At first glance, that book on the shelf may look innocent, but remember: witches can disguise themselves as any physical object. Glorious rewards await the most curious of witches who can find and mimic all props!
