Wizard Shrimp

Wizard Shrimp launched on December 13, 2024 and received two major content updates in quick succession: The Cauldron mode (January 3, 2025) and The Krill Tree (January 26, 2025). Both were substantial additions — The Cauldron introduced 10 new difficulty levels and new upgrades/items, while The Krill Tree added a full roguelite progression system and three new character specializations. Since January 26, 2025, activity has shifted to maintenance: controller support was added in March 2025 (a feature patch rather than a content expansion), and bug fixes were issued in February 2026. The developer's February 9, 2026 post explicitly acknowledged moving attention elsewhere, stating that "other projects and my day job and life in general has gotten in the way" and actively promoting a new separate game, Mushroom Clicker, as "way better than WS." No future content for Wizard Shrimp has been announced. The March 2026 Discord server launch appears oriented around the developer's broader catalog and community rather than signaling new Wizard Shrimp content. The two major updates shipped within roughly the first six weeks of release, and no further major content has followed in the 17 months since January 26, 2025. The developer's own communications indicate their focus has moved on. The game appears to have reached its completed state with the January 26, 2025 update.
