Evaluation

WW2 Rebuilder launched on January 16, 2023 and has received a steady stream of major content since then. The developer shipped the Normandy map on May 2, 2023, then the Remagen Map DLC on October 6, 2023, and most recently the Remagen and Caen DLC on January 9, 2026. This establishes a pattern of major content releases, though the gap between the second and third releases (October 2023 to January 2026 — roughly 27 months) is longer than the first interval (January to May 2023 — roughly 4 months). Leading up to the January 2026 DLC, the developer ran an active community vote in August 2025 asking players which location should inspire the next DLC, and a November 2025 post stated "this project is very much alive" and described active work on the then-upcoming DLC. That DLC shipped on January 9, 2026. As of today, October 1, 2026 — approximately 8.5 months since the last major release — no new content has been formally announced. The developer has made no post-January 2026 communications visible in the data. The historical cadence is irregular (ranging from a few months to over two years between releases), so 8.5 months of silence does not conclusively place us outside the development window. The August 2025 community vote teased a broad list of potential future locations (London, Dunkirk, Hamburg, Belfast, and others), but this vote was held before the Remagen and Caen DLC shipped. It is plausible that the Caen map was the direct result of community interest in Normandy-area content, and no post-release statement has reaffirmed plans for any of the other voted locations. Without a formal announcement of a follow-up DLC, this remains a game with an active expansion history but no confirmed next release. The developer has not stated that development is complete or that no further content is planned, and the pattern of post-launch additions supports continued development. However, given the irregular release cadence and the absence of any developer communication since January 2026, this sits at the boundary between an active development posture and one where we are simply waiting to see what comes next.
Evidence
Remagen and Caen DLC launched, adding two new maps to rebuild: the Ludendorff Bridge area in Remagen, Germany and the heavily damaged city of Caen, France.

About this game

Here is a game about war, in which we do not grab a rifle, but a hammer, and instead of destroying - we create.

It’s 1945. It’s the end of World War II, the war that left a mark. Now people like you have to leave their hometowns to rebuild their countries. Motivated by different reasons, they get set on the same quest - to repair and renovate places completely destroyed during the war.

BUILDER SIMULATOR THAT TAKES YOU ON A JOURNEY AROUND EUROPE

Visit monuments and buildings, stumble upon their history and take part in the biggest rebuilding missions. Meet civilians from England, Germany and France and guide them through the process. Through the journey you will collect resources and craft materials to flip houses, repair industrial buildings, roads and squares. Pick up a hummer or a trowel, drive in a bulldozer, become a mechanic and operator of various machines like a crane, drive jeep cars and bicycles. Clean up the area, defuse and get rid of the bombs and design the new look of a place by decorating.

You can already play our game’s Demo that involves a map of Gimbert Station or a Germany Prologue with the area of St. Nicholas Church for FREE.
