Evaluation

Xvirus launched on March 31, 2026. The store description explicitly states the game "is still in development and will receive new content and characters," and lists "active development with frequent updates" as a feature. The developer has backed this up with action: on May 14, 2026, a major update shipped adding 2 new characters, 12 new animations, and 3 new stages, at which point the developer committed to monthly content updates. Then on June 25, 2026, the developer delivered the largest update yet — Update 2.0 — adding another 2 characters, 12 new scenes, a completely overhauled combat system, 3 new scenarios, and additional language support. The developer has publicly stated the game is ongoing, and has demonstrated a roughly monthly cadence of major content drops since launch. Additional characters and content are clearly planned to continue.
