Evaluation
Y. Village - The Visitors launched on January 29, 2024, and received a series of patches in the weeks following launch, addressing bugs and adding small refinements (v0.2 on February 1, 2024 and v0.3 on February 5, 2024). The developer then issued a v1.0 patch on May 10, 2024, which redesigned the interior of Hasan's house and fixed additional bugs — marking the game's stable release milestone.
Since that May 2024 update, there have been no further patches, announcements, or communications specifically about Y. Village. The developer (Dead Witness) has since moved on to other projects: they announced and promoted Eilean Mor: The Lost Keepers throughout mid-to-late 2025, launched a Kickstarter for it, and released a demo during Steam Next Fest in October 2025. They also announced two additional games — Antichrist (with a demo released February 2026) and Mahfam: The Cursed Village (wishlisted January 2026), and released another title, Apartment No. 129, on console in January 2026.
Y. Village was a self-contained, story-driven single-player horror experience. No DLC has ever been listed for it, no roadmap or future content was announced, and the developer's post-launch activity was limited to polish patches before declaring v1.0. The studio's attention has clearly shifted to a pipeline of new titles. The game shipped as a complete product and received its final content update in May 2024.
Evidence
v1.0 patch released: interior redesign of Hasan's house, bug fixes, and general changes — the last update ever posted for Y. Village.
Developer announces a third new game, Mahfam: The Cursed Village, reinforcing that the studio is focused on new titles rather than Y. Village.
