Yacht Mechanic Simulator launched on July 28, 2022. The launch was rocky — the developer (Punch Punk Games) acknowledged significant bugs and the publisher (Image Power) issued a public apology on August 19, 2022, admitting that communication with the dev team had broken down and they had no ETA for further patches. One hotfix was released on August 6, 2022. Since then, there have been no further news posts, patches, or developer communications of any kind. The last official post was the publisher's August 19, 2022 status update, which itself expressed uncertainty about whether more patches were coming. No DLC was ever announced or listed. No roadmap for post-launch content was published. The game received no major content updates after its initial release, and the developer and publisher have been silent since August 19, 2022 — nearly four years with no official communication. The game appears to have shipped as a finished (if flawed) product with no post-launch content cycle, and development activity has long since ceased.

Publisher said they were 'looking into other solutions' and hoped patches would 'start rolling out soon.' This is the last official communication from either developer or publisher.
