Yerba Mate Tycoon left Early Access on September 3, 2021. Since then, the solo developer (DonislawDev) continued shipping feature updates: V1.2 on January 26, 2022; V1.3 on April 23, 2023; V1.4 on August 19, 2023; V1.5 on September 21, 2023; and V1.52 on November 4, 2024. Each brought meaningful new systems or content additions. However, the developer has been transparent throughout about the game's direction. As early as the 1.0 launch post on September 3, 2021, the developer stated: "new content → Won't probably come." In the V1.3 update on April 23, 2023, they reiterated: "there will be some updates with bug fixes/localization updates, but not sure about updates with new features, maybe." The V1.52 update on November 4, 2024 — the most recent communication — confirms the developer's focus has shifted to a new game called "Die And Repeat," a roguelite project mentioned across multiple posts. The V1.52 update itself consisted of bug fixes, balance changes, and minor additions, consistent with maintenance rather than ongoing feature development. There are no announced upcoming features, no unreleased DLC, and no roadmap for future content. The developer's own statements consistently point to the game being content-complete, with only occasional maintenance possible. The last developer communication was on November 4, 2024.
