Evaluation
Yoiyami Biscuit is a Touhou Project fangame roguelike in Early Access, launched on October 26, 2025. After launch, the developer posted two patch updates in November 2025: a bug-fix patch (v0.5.1) on November 2, 2025, and another bug-fix patch (v0.5.2) on November 23, 2025. The November 23, 2025 post explicitly confirmed that version 0.6.0 was being worked on, describing plans for an in-game encyclopedia, new items, new events, and balance changes — with preview images shared. This is a clear commitment to additional content.
However, as of today (September 24, 2026), no further posts or updates have appeared since November 23, 2025 — a gap of roughly 10 months with no developer communication. The developer did note in the v0.5.2 post that "due to personal reasons" there had already been a delay before that patch was released, suggesting the developer is a solo or small team that may face real-life interruptions. The announced version 0.6.0 content has not shipped, and there has been no update — positive or negative — about its status. Given that promised content remains undelivered and the developer has gone silent well beyond their previously active posting cadence, there is genuine uncertainty about whether development is continuing on schedule.
Evidence
Developer confirmed version 0.6.0 is planned, including an in-game encyclopedia, new items, new events, and balance changes. This is the last known developer communication.
Developer noted that 'due to personal reasons' they were unable to work on the game for a period before this patch, indicating a solo or very small team susceptible to development gaps.

About this game
A strange yet succulent incident has begun... Gensokyo is overflowing with snacks! A roguelike twin-stick shooter Touhou Project fangame makes its debut on Steam!
Use your danmaku-firing snacks to mow down hordes of enemies. All the different snacks have different upsides and downsides, and will level up and grow stronger as you battle with them!
Rumia can also eat snacks to grow stronger permanently, additionally gaining that snack as a passive attack! Eat snacks to become stronger, but be careful not to overeat and get sleepy...!
Once a battle ends, it's time to go shopping! There are a ton of different items to aid Rumia in her journey.
There are items that simply raise your stats, ones that summon battle partners that block bullets, and even ones that treat other items like you have two of them...!?
There's a whole variety pack of items to choose from, but don't forget to pick ones that synergize with your other items... and your snacks too, of course!
Spirit Strike Talismans can be used in battle and offer a wide range of helpful effects, such as dealing big damage and blasting away enemies, or buffing Rumia for a period of time.
Depending on your inventory of items, you might even find your battle tactics revolving around your talismans!

Snack Fountains have suddenly appeared around Gensokyo, and territory struggles have erupted around them... yet, nobody seems all that concerned!?
Entering an event space lets you take a look at how the other residents of Gensokyo are doing, and maybe even offer them some help! Maybe you'll figure out something about the ongoing incident, too?
Change the game's Biscuit Hardness to make things easier or harder! You'll unlock harder and harder difficulties as you keep winning runs.
But don't worry — you can always make things easier if you feel like the game is too difficult!
