You Know The Drill launched on June 4, 2026 with Campaign Mode and Rush Mode. A Supporter Pack add-on followed on June 30, 2026. Patch 1.2 on September 4, 2026 added Zen Mode, revamped Rush Mode, and announced that Hardcore Mode was in development. Patch 1.3 on October 8, 2026 delivered Hardcore Mode, a campaign with around 90 minutes of new play, five new levels, a different upgrade system, and new risks such as drill damage and battery consequences. The mode promised in September has now shipped. A hotfix on June 12, 2026 addressed reported issues, and the developer said work on Steam Cloud sync and Steam Deck verification was ongoing. Two major updates within the span from September 4, 2026 to October 8, 2026 show a steady pattern of new content, and the most recent one arrived on October 8, 2026, so the game is still being actively expanded.
