You Will Die Here Tonight launched on October 31, 2023 and has received a series of updates from the developer. The most significant was v1.1.0 on October 28, 2024, which added an entirely new "Professional Mode" — a remixed, open-ended version of the game with deadlier enemies, rankings, and unlockable rewards — alongside localization for German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. After that major update, three further feature patches followed: v1.1.1 on May 2, 2025 (Hungarian localization), v1.1.2 on June 8, 2025 (enemy rebalancing across modes), and v1.1.3 on June 30, 2025 (new Steam Achievements for Professional Mode).
