Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links launched on November 16, 2017 as a free-to-play online card game and has operated as a continuous live service ever since. The game receives a steady, high-frequency stream of new card box releases — the 10 most recent major content posts all follow the same pattern of a new card box added roughly every 3–5 weeks, with releases recorded on October 1, 2024; September 30, 2025; December 31, 2025; March 2, 2026; March 10, 2026; April 1, 2026; May 11, 2026; June 26, 2026; July 28, 2026; and August 26, 2026 (today). Beyond card boxes, the game also receives larger world updates, such as the GO RUSH!! World added in October 2024 and the DM World Update in September 2025. The store description explicitly notes "Stay tuned for future card additions!" New paid card boxes are the primary monetization mechanism, and the cadence shows no sign of slowing. This is a fully operational live service with no end in sight.
