Zoochosis

Zoochosis launched on September 30, 2024 and has received consistent, substantial updates from Clapperheads ever since. Three major content updates have shipped post-launch: a large overhaul adding new animals and enclosures on August 25, 2025 (after 11 months of work), a Rhino animal update on October 24, 2025, and a Camel animal update on April 7, 2026. These major drops are spaced roughly 5–6 months apart, establishing a clear pattern of ongoing development. Beyond new animals, the developer has overhauled core systems multiple times — including a full engine upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5, a reworked tutorial and core gameplay loop, a new combat system, photo mode, and over 45 patches. In the April 7, 2026 post announcing the Camel update, the developer explicitly stated they are "still actively working on Zoochosis and continue improving the game." The October 2025 Rhino announcement also noted that "more [animals] are coming soon." No end-of-development statement has been made. As of today, October 8, 2026, the most recent major update was on April 7, 2026 — approximately 6 months ago, which sits right at the outer edge of the established 5–6 month cadence window. Given the developer's explicit statement of ongoing work and consistent history of delivering new animals on this schedule, the game remains in active development. The silence since April 7, 2026 does not yet exceed the established pattern.
