0°N 0°W launched on March 1, 2018 as a surreal walking simulator. In the months following launch, Colorfiction was active — shipping a free VR DLC (August 17, 2018), a soundtrack DLC (April 19, 2018), and several feature patches that added new worlds and environmental details. A notable VR content update adding 8 new worlds shipped on June 25, 2019, which stands as the last substantive content addition to the game itself. After June 2019, developer communications shifted away from 0°N 0°W and toward other projects. In July 2019, Colorfiction announced a new game, Ode to a Moon. In January 2021, they announced the FICTION #F3F collection — a separate bundle of other ambient games on Steam. In October 2024, they released a demo for another new project called JUICE. In August 2025, they released yet another separate game, Desktop Forest. None of these posts announced additional content for 0°N 0°W itself. Both DLC items (Soundtrack and VR) are released and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The developer has made no announcements of future content for 0°N 0°W since 2019, and the pattern of communications since then clearly shows Colorfiction's creative focus has moved on to new titles. The game appears to have reached its completed state with the June 2019 VR update, which was the last substantive addition to 0°N 0°W's content.
