3 Minutes to Midnight launched on August 22, 2024 after a lengthy development period. Following release, the developer (Scarecrow Studio) was actively engaged with player feedback, shipping several updates through late 2024: a post-launch patch adding a "Highlight Key Dialogue" feature (September 3, 2024), an epilogue added in response to player requests (September 26, 2024), and a substantial v1.1.0 update on November 22, 2024 that added Simplified Chinese and Russian language support, a redesigned progress tracker, performance improvements, and narrative refinements.
On February 3, 2025, the developer released three supplementary DLC items — an Adventurer's Guide (hint book and walkthrough), a Comic Book (Issue #1), and an Art Book — alongside new bundle editions (Deluxe and Premium). All four DLC items in the store listing are now released, with the most recent being these February 2025 additions. The February 2025 news post describes these as completing a "full experience" bundle called the Premium Edition.
Since February 3, 2025, there have been no further developer communications, patch notes, or announcements of additional content.
