8th Heaven is an Early Access game from Cottage Club, a three-person team, that launched on July 29, 2024. It has received a steady stream of major updates since then: Patch 0.20 (November 28, 2024), Update 0.40 (June 26, 2025), Update 0.50 (December 18, 2025), Update 0.60 (February 9, 2026), Update 0.70 (May 18, 2026), and most recently Update 0.80 — published on October 1, 2026 — which shipped Finn's complete story arc and several other date events. The October 1, 2026 update post is the most important piece of information here. The developer explicitly states that the game's 1.0 release, which will include the final chapter, is scheduled for Q1 2027. The next major update is expected by the end of 2026 and will conclude Dimitri's story arc. The developer notes that each remaining datable character currently has two story events left (except Finn, whose arc is now complete). They also confirmed plans to support the game after the 1.0 release, with a post-release content roadmap, though update frequency will slow after launch as the team shifts toward smaller projects. The team acknowledged earlier health and financial difficulties in the December 2025 post, but confirmed those were resolved by October 2025 and the studio has been operating at full capacity since.
