A Golden Wake is a self-contained narrative adventure game that launched on October 9, 2014. There is no DLC, no season pass, no expansion content, and the developer has never announced any post-launch story content. The game shipped as a complete, standalone experience.
Since launch, the developer has issued two maintenance-focused updates: a November 16, 2020 update that upgraded the game to Adventure Game Studio 3.5.0, adding quality-of-life improvements like autosave, platform compatibility (Mac/Linux), and puzzle rebalancing; and an August 2, 2022 update compiling the game under AGS 3.6 with a minor bug fix. These are purely technical upkeep patches, not new content. The most recent developer communication was on August 2, 2022.
The game launched as a finished product and has remained so. All post-launch activity has been maintenance to keep the game running well — not additions to its content.
