Since then, the developer has continued to support the game, shipping a major v1.1.0 update on September 24, 2021 that added cross-play, cosmetics, new maps, new gummies, and a reworked grab system. A smaller content patch in March 2022 added a new map. The developer has also maintained the game through regular bug fixes and feature patches over the years. The most recent notable post, from February 13, 2026, made all cosmetics permanently unlockable — a change that simplifies the cosmetic system rather than expanding content. This move, combined with an October 2023 developer statement explicitly noting that their small team is focused on developing a new game (Oppidum, which launched April 24, 2025), signals that A Gummy's Life is in a maintenance phase rather than active content development.
