Evaluation
A Plague Tale: Innocence launched on May 14, 2019 as a complete, self-contained narrative adventure. Its only DLC — a cosmetic Coats of Arms pack — released on May 13, 2019, effectively at launch. A Photo Mode feature was added on June 18, 2019, which represents the last post-launch update to the game itself.
Since then, developer news on this store page has been exclusively about other games in the franchise: A Plague Tale: Requiem (announced June 2021, released October 18, 2022) and Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (announced June 8, 2025, with a release date set for August 27, 2026). These are separate, independently sold titles — neither represents additional content for Innocence. The August 2026 release of Resonance does not change the status of this game.
Innocence shipped as a finished product and has been content-complete since June 2019. It is available in its final form.

About this game
Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.
1348. The plague ravages the Kingdom of France. Amicia and her younger brother Hugo are pursued by the Inquisition through villages devastated by the disease. On their way, they will have to join forces with other children, and evade swarms of rats using fire and light. Aided only by the link that binds their fates together, they will face untold horrors in their struggle to survive. As their adventure begins… the time of innocence ends.
