Evaluation
A tractor is a long-running one-developer Early Access title that has had a turbulent history. After its Steam Early Access launch on August 15, 2018, the developer posted regularly through late 2018 before going largely silent. In December 2019, the developer published a candid statement confirming the game was "not being actively developed" and had been "largely abandoned," with servers going offline. The game remained in this dormant state for over three years.
In early 2023, the developer announced a revival called "Season X," outlining plans for player-built worlds, space exploration, and a galactic economy. The game relaunched in May 2023 with version 0.76.0, described as featuring "a new universe" with more content to follow. This was followed by a feature update in June 2023, a substantial patch in August 2023 covering world editor improvements, new weapon systems, space features, and bug fixes, and finally a September 2023 announcement of a new economy world trial called "Babylon nTing," with a note that its full release was planned "later in the year."
However, the last developer communication of any kind was that September 22, 2023 post. There have been no announcements, patch notes, or updates since then — a silence now stretching past June 2026. The promised full release of the Babylon nTing world has not been confirmed as shipped. Given the developer's documented history of extended absences and the game's one-person nature, it is unclear whether development is continuing. The game remains available for purchase in Early Access.
Evidence

About this game
An old-fashioned, semi-serious, social-economic simulation and galactic world construction game combining trading, vehicles, mini-games and blowing things up, which also gives the dedicated few the opportunity to make their own games within the wider universe.
In the starting star systems you'll find a few different planets to explore. Some are long-term persistent worlds that evolve while you're not playing, others are little minigames or places to mess about in biplanes. What you need to do varies depending on what other players are doing and what has been built in the past.
Money and Kudos earnt playing on planets can be converted to galactic credits, which you can use to buy new ships and systems that help you explore the universe further.
If you're feeling creative the game includes a powerful 'World Editor' which you can use to make your own planet and games for other players to find and explore.
