Abbot's Book Demo

Abbot's Book Demo is a free VR demo that has been available since April 4, 2016. The store description notes that "when complete, The Abbot's Book will be 8 episodes of VR narrative content" and that this demo shows a slice of the 7th episode — indicating the demo itself is a finished promotional sample, not an evolving product. The developer (The Abbot's Book, LLC) released a series of patches through mid-2016 to polish the demo, and their last news post was on June 21, 2018, announcing a separate companion release called "Caliban Below." There have been no developer communications of any kind since June 21, 2018 — nearly 8 years ago as of today. No new content has been announced for the demo itself, no roadmap or future plans have been communicated, and there are no unreleased DLC listings. The demo launched as a finished promotional slice and has received no substantive updates since 2016. The broader 8-episode series it was intended to promote has shown no signs of continued development for many years.
