Evaluation
Abode is a short VR escape room puzzle game (~1 hour of gameplay) that graduated from Early Access on December 1, 2016. At that time, the developer explicitly stated: "There will be no more big game changes or additions" — only achievements, trading cards, and bug fixes were still planned. A patch in February 2017 added Oculus Touch support and an alternative ending, and the studio subsequently moved on to developing new games entirely: Conductor (May 2017), Star Shelter (October 2017), and Abode 2 (November 2019). The developer has not posted any updates to this game since the October 2019 Abode 2 announcement. All of this is consistent with the game being a complete, finished product as of its December 1, 2016 full release.
