Ace Of Words

Ace of Words launched in full release on May 13, 2016. Developer activity was concentrated entirely in 2015–2016, covering dictionary improvements, a new 6-letter game mode, additional language support, and crash reporting infrastructure. The last developer communication of any kind was a bug fix patch on July 15, 2016 — nearly a decade before today's date of June 23, 2026. During the early life of the game, the developer mentioned ambitions to add a multiplayer mode (referenced in posts from December 2015, December 2016, and the v1.0 launch post), but that feature was never delivered and no further mention of it appears after December 2016. A November 2017 post announced a different game entirely (Skee-Ball Plus), with no reference to any ongoing work on Ace of Words. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap, and no developer statement indicating future content remains planned. The multiplayer promise was mentioned casually across a few posts but was never formally committed to via a roadmap or dedicated announcement, and the developer has been silent on Ace of Words since mid-2016 — with their attention visibly shifting to other projects by late 2017. The game shipped as a small, self-contained arcade title and has received no substantive updates in nearly ten years. It is considered content-complete as it stands.
