Action Alien launched on June 26, 2015 and received a series of updates in its early years: graphics and gameplay improvements in October and November 2015, a survival mode and controller support in May 2016, and a significant gameplay and content patch in May 2018. The last update specifically for Action Alien was a gameplay and optimization patch on April 19, 2020, which the developer noted may be followed by further fixes or improvements "if needed." No updates or developer communications about this game have been posted since April 19, 2020. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content, and no roadmap or statement indicating further development is planned.
