Advent Rising

Advent Rising is a 2005/2006 action game originally published by Majesco, now available on Steam under Ziggurat. When it arrived on Steam, the publisher made a series of posts in early 2018 expressing enthusiasm for the game and announcing two free DLC packs — the official soundtrack and a six-issue comic book series — both of which shipped on March 29, 2018. A launcher update followed on April 20, 2018. The 2018 posts hinted at ongoing plans: one post mentioned "a lot of exciting things in store" and another spoke of "continuing to add content." However, those statements were never followed up with any concrete announcements or releases. The last developer communication was the launcher update post on April 20, 2018. Since then — over eight years ago — there has been no further news, patches, or announcements from the publisher regarding Advent Rising specifically. Notably, the one post tagged as a major content release (NEWS-1, January 2021) was actually announcing a completely different game (Real Heroes: Firefighter HD), not Advent Rising content. This appears to have been posted to the wrong game's news feed. All listed DLC is released. The game itself is a complete, finished product from its original 2005/2006 release. The vague 2018 promises of future content were never fulfilled and have long since gone stale with no follow-through. The game can be considered complete as originally shipped.
