On December 30, 2024, the developer Victor posted a heartfelt farewell message explicitly stating that there will be no more updates for Aimtastic. The game will remain available and playable in its current state, but development has permanently concluded. Victor acknowledged that the game fell behind competitors during a difficult personal period and recommended players seeking continued aim training look at alternatives like KovaaK's. This is a clear, unambiguous statement that the game is complete and finished.
Prior to this announcement, the game had an active development period — most notably a major content update in January 2020 (Build 141) that doubled the number of game modes and launched the Pro Edition DLC, followed by several feature patches through mid-2020. The one released DLC (Pro Edition, launched January 16, 2020) has fully shipped. No unreleased DLC exists. The developer's final communication makes the completion date December 30, 2024.
