Evaluation
On February 8, 2019, the developers (David and Marenz) published a release statement explaining their decision to ship Supraball 1.0 as-is after seven years of development. They were candid that the UDK engine they had been using had become a severe limitation, making the game nearly impossible to debug and update further. Rather than continuing to struggle with this technical debt, they released what they had and explicitly stated they intended to start fresh by rebuilding Supraball in Unreal Engine 4 — the same engine used for their other game, Supraland.
The developers stated they might do "some support updates if it's worth it," but described the current release as the end of meaningful development on this version. They indicated that any concrete future plans would be announced on social media, and no such announcement has been made through the Steam news channel. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no roadmap commitments, and no further major content posts after the February 8, 2019 launch announcement.
The only post-launch Steam news item was a promotional post for Supraland (April 5, 2019), which is a separate game. Prior to launch, the developers ran a community poll about interest in a potential "Supraball 2," but this was exploratory and no Supraball 2 has been announced or released.
This game launched as a complete — if imperfect — package, with the developers explicitly communicating they had no plans to continue developing this version of the game.
Evidence
On launch day, the developers explicitly stated they had worked themselves into a corner with the UDK engine, that their motivation to continue was near zero, and that they were releasing the game as-is. They described this as the end of development on the current version and stated their goal was to rebuild Supraball from scratch in Unreal Engine 4. They noted they might do minor support updates but made no content commitments.
The only post-launch Steam news post was a promotional announcement for Supraland, a separate game by the same developer. No Supraball content update was included.

About this game
Instead of writing more about why we think this game is great we decided to let our beta testing community write some comments here.
"What is Supraball? - imagine you're playing fifa, controlling just one player. Okay now imagine that each other player is a real person. Okay now imagine you're in first person, and you have this super awesome cannon with dozens of combinations of spins that fires a yellow ball at 400km/h. Okay now imagine you've fired that into the top corner at that speed - and someone saves it. That is supraball!"
Solomon
"So the first thing that I liked was the innovation, there are no games like it."
Malaria
"The game being a first person sports game made me feel like I was actually on the field playing ball. Also, the fact that everyone on the playing field was an actual person, and not a scripted AI that would change into the player if given the ball, added an element I personally had never seen in a game before Supraball."
Skel
"F**k yes, I can play football at home!"
Silw
"The thing that fascinated me the most is the amount of teamwork involved and the kind of creativity you can have while playing this game."
Bakes
"It's pretty easy to play but hard to master."
Olo
"Most fascinating is the ability some players have to always create new moves etc."
Goku
"Different things happen every match, so it's never the same."
Dimle
"I liked being the last hope for my team and the tense pressure filled moments were amazing. Making a 1v1 save is a really awesome feeling and no other game has given me the same feeling yet."
Vendetta
"Very precise, accurate, total control. Intense gameplay, nail biting finishes.
I can't stop, it's heroin/crack!"
